We were so happy to see autumn here. We stayed at Awanoyu for one night and spent the next morning exploring the area. This open-air onsen is public at 520 yen per adult. Having enjoyed onsen at Awanoyu already, we went for this public bath, which is another gem with the view of the river. After this, we walked and drove around Shirahone Onsen for autumn leaves.
This is a public open-air bath located near the center of Shirahone Onsen. There is no dedicated parking lot, so it would be best to use a parking lot or parking space near the tourist information center or public restrooms. I have visited Shirahone Onsen several times for day trips, but each time the facility was unavailable due to construction or damage.
I arrived just after business hours started, and when I asked the person standing near the gate, he said, ``I think the people who used it first thing in the morning will be coming out soon,'' so it was a very good time to use it. It became. After passing through the gate and going down the stairs and mountain path to the river, there was a building. The roof was covered with moss and plants. This facility has separate bathtubs for men and women, but although the men's bathtub has a roof, the enclosure is minimal, so you can see the bathtub when looking down at the river from above, giving it a feeling of freedom. It was. The bathtub was filled with milky white hot spring water, and the temperature was just right, making it very pleasant. There is also a rest area, so I was able to take a breather after taking a bath.
This facility is said to be the one that triggered the ``bath salts dispensing problem'' that was discovered in 2004, but there is no sign of that happening now.
After climbing Mt. Norikura
I came to this Shirahone Onsen ♨️.
Please drive carefully on the slightly narrow mountain roads along the way.
Well, I arrived at 9:30.
It's said to be open from 10am.
Stroll around the souvenir shops and neighborhood
When I enter the entrance at 10 o'clock, I go down the stairs.
I go down some stairs.
When you go down there is a hut where you can register.
Purchase a ticket at a ticket vending machine
It's cheap at 500 yen for adults.
Coin lockers are 100 yen coin return type
Change clothes in the changing room
Free-flowing hot springs
Milky white hot spring
It feels so good
Because it's an open air bath
The sound of the river and the pleasant sunshine
It's the best healing.
Shampoo, body soap, and conditioner are also provided.
Good amenities too
It's nice to have a hair dryer in the changing room.
This was a recommended public open-air hot spring.
Excellent place, only one basin but great view. Literally you take a bath in the middle of nature
If my husband wants to come in, I bring a towel and go check on him, and if it's crowded or not good enough, I'll wait for him at 🚘😅
That's what I said, but no matter how many times I went down the stairs, I couldn't reach ♨️💦
Because the footing is not good, it is recommended that young children and elderly people with bad knees refrain from walking.
When I arrived at the reception desk, I was like, I've come this far, so let's go in! I felt like saying ️😄
But I went in and it was a great decision 🙆
Appropriate temperature, neither too hot nor too lukewarm 👍
Slowly warm up in the cloudy water while watching the river flow in front of you 👍
It was the best time🙆🙆🙆
I will go again🙋
We visited based on the good reviews.
It feels like it's in the middle of a valley, and the atmosphere is really nice (≧∀≦)ノ
I couldn't take a photo of the hot spring ♨️ as photography was prohibited, but I personally found it to be a good temperature and there wasn't much of a sulfur smell, so it was pretty nice 😆 It was mid-afternoon on a weekday, but there were 4-5 other people there. There were customers ahead of us, and customers were constantly coming and going. Well, this view and the hot springs are amazing, so of course!
I would love to come again 👍️
Apparently some places offer mixed bathing, but I chose this one because there was a staff member who showed me around at the hot spring entrance.
Go down about 50 steps, buy a ticket at the entrance, and go inside.
Although it looked old, it was well-cleaned and clean.
Shampoo, conditioner, body soap, and hair dryer are provided.
After getting out of the bath, fill your stomach with 150 yen ramune and hot spring eggs.
On the way back, I climbed the stairs slowly, admiring the scenery and trying not to sweat.
Although it was completely visible from the cliff, I gave it a ★5
A spacious open-air bath and heated hot springs.
Shampoo and hair dryer available
The price is also in the 500 yen range. Is this really okay?
I'm worried.
I want them to continue doing business forever.
The quality of the spring water improves skin firmness and moisture retention.
I didn't really feel like I was recovering from fatigue.
